Airport transfer
Many hotels offer their own airport transfer. For those, who come to Marrakech for the first time and do not know where their hotel is, this is a recommendable service. Especially if the hotel is located in the medina (old town), also many Moroccans and taxi drivers do not always exactly where the desired destination is. I did not use this service on my first visit and dragged my suitcase through the medina for about an hour because I thought “I already find that!”.
The medina is a beautiful maze with hundreds of streets, all of which look the same at the first glance. There are infinitely many dead-ends and dark, little paths, one may not trust in the first visit. If you go further, you might find it just there: your booked luxury riad!
The hotel shuttle is much easier!
Although the taxpayment at the airport, unlike in the whole city, are not negotiable, they are nevertheless cheaper than with the hotel shuttle. If you are already familiar with Marrakech, go to the large parking lot in front of the airport hall. It certainly does not take long until you are approached by a taxi driver …

The staff is warm, very friendly and helpful and on request not only the breakfast, but also an Arabic lunch or dinner menu in the patio or on the roof terrace is served.

The “Riad les Oliviers” is a quiet riad in the medina (old town) with 16 rooms and a large suite. There is a 500 m2 roof terrace now also with a swimming pool. The very friendly and always helpful staff of the Riad is available to the guests around the clock. The breakfast is served on the roof terrace or in the patio, where you can also have lunch or dinner on request.
