Photography bans and restrictions
As in many countries, photography of military installations, airports, railway stations and government buildings is prohibited in Morocco.
In addition, the import and use of drones of all kinds in Morocco is prohibited. These include, of course, photo drones and video drones. At the airport in Marrakech my luggage was checked on entry, weapons and drugs as well as drones.

Travel documents
For the entry from the EU you need a passport valid for at least 6 months and a tourist visa. You get it free of charge at the airport, it is valid for 90 days. It is not possible to enter the country with the ID card only from the EU.
Currency
The currency in Morocco is the Moroccan Dirham (MAD). Usually, banknotes with 20, 50, 100 and 200 MAD as well as coins are used. Both old and new banknotes are in circulation. In Morocco, the currency is not abbreviated as “MAD”, but “Dh”.

Time
In Morocco, the “Greenich Mean Time” (GMT, UTC) is used, which means that it is an hour earlier than in Central Europe without consideration of the Central European summer time (CEST). Which means, you can return the clock by 1 hour if coming from Central Europe.
